At Mercy hospital this morning at 2:30 o’clock occurred the death of Mrs. George Hoffmann, 2324 Boise avenue, a resident of Scott county since 1869. Mrs. Hoffmann had been ill since Saturday and had undergone an operation at Mercy hospital.
Miss Wilhelmina Hansen was born in Germany Aug 11, 1868, and when a year old came to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hansen. The family came direct to Scott county and settled in Walcott. Twenty-eight years ago she was united in marriage to George Hoffmann, who, together with five children, survive her. They are Mrs. H. P. Nelson, Mrs. Charles Borker of St. Louis, and the Misses Hilda and Bertha Hoffmann and George Jr. at home. The following sisters also survive: Mrs. Claus Moeller, Mrs. Herman Moeller, Mrs. Fred Porter, Mrs. John Owens, all of Davenport, and Mrs. John Williams of California.
Funeral services are announced to be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home at 2324 Boise avenue, with interment at Fairmount cemetery.
