McCausland

Died - At her home in Butler township, Scott county, Iowa, March 17, 1880, at 11:05 p. m., Laura Josephine McCausland, wife of Supervisor Thos. McCausland, at the age of 32 years, 9 months and 27 days.

The deceased was married in 1866, and three daughters survive the mother. The youngest child, a son, died in July, 1879. Mrs. McCausland was a member of the Methodist Church, and had been for several years. She was born in Scott county, within two miles of her late home.

The funeral cortege of the late Mrs. Thos. W. McCausland, which followed the remains to Mt. Joy Cemetery, was the largest ever known at that resting place of the dead. The last and rites were conducted by Rev. Mr. Warren, of Linn Grove, Pastor of the M. E. church, of which body the deceased was a respected member.
