Died - In Princeton, Scott county, on the 16th inst., Jesse R. James, aged 57 years.

The deceased emigrated from Providence, Rhode Island, at an early day, and at the time of his death had been a resident of Scott county twenty-three years. He lived universally respected by all who knew him and during his residence here he interested himself in all enterprises intended to develop the resources of the country and benefit community at large. In his death, the county has sustained the loss of a citizen of public spirit, and the immediate vicinity of his late residence has lost a kind neighbor and an estimable man.
