January 15, 1922MRS. PASSWATER PASSES AWAY AT BUFFALO.
Resident of River Town for Many Years Dies Saturday Afternoon.Buffalo, Ia., Jan 14 - (Special) - Mrs. Judy Passwater, a citizen of Buffalo since 1906, passed away at the family home at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon after a two weeks illness.
Born in Cass county, Missouri, November 7, 1883, Mrs. Passwater was 38 years old. She was married to Alva C. Passwater, June 17, 1904 in Missouri. In 1906 they moved to Buffalo and have resided here ever since. Mr. Passwater is a foreman at the De Lacy Bros. quarry.
The deceased was a member of the Christian church and of Northern Star lodge, Pythian Sisters, of Moline. The husband and two daughters, Alverdia and Gladys, as well as the father, H.P. Hawkins, all of Buffalo, survive.
Mrs. Lee King, of Reinmore, Mo., Mrs. Denny Thomas of Kansas City, Miss Bernita Hawkins of Kansas City, and Miss Edna Hawkins, of Greenwood, Mo., and one brother, Ernest Hawkins of Davenport, also survive.
The funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon, with services at the Christian Union Church at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made at Rosehill cemetery.
