Schluentz

At the Mercy hospital yesterday morning occurred the death of Christian Schluentz, at the age of 67 years. Cancer, for which he was being treated at the hospital, was the cause of his death.

He resided in this county for the past 27 years, and was employed on farms, during the gathering of crops. He made his home at Hilbert’s boarding house on Western avenue, during his stay in this city.

He is survived by several brothers, one of whom resides in Columbus Junction. The body has been taken to Runge & Petersen’s undertaking establishment, and the funeral will probably be held today, pending advices from the brothers of the deceased who has [sic] been notified.
