Mrs. Hallie Maud Leach, wife of Leon T. Leach of the Fidelity Title & Finance Co., died at 3 p. m. Thursday at the home, 1078 East River street, after a lingering illness. She had been a resident of Davenport for the last three weeks.
Mrs. Leach was born in Roanoke, Ind., 52 years ago, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. David M. Bye. She was married to Leon T. Leach on June 9, 1896 at Indianapolis where the family resided for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving besides the widower are two sons, Paul R. and Byron of Davenport; and four daughters, Miss Susan Mary of New York; and the Misses Hallie C., Helen C. and Justine Leach of Davenport.
The body was removed to the Hill & Frederick’s Mortuary and will be sent to Indianapolis where services will be held at the Flanner & Buchanan Chapel. Burial will be made in Crown Hill Cemetery.
