John P. Carl Fick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph C. Fick, living one mile north of DeWitt, passed away at St. Luke’s hospital this morning at 7 o’clock after one week’s illness.

The deceased was born at Dixon, Ia., Dec. 10, 1917, moving to DeWitt three and one-half years ago. Surviving are his parents; two brothers, Dwight and Warren; maternal grandfather, Carl M. Siebke of Walcott; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Emma Fick of Davenport and paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Frerk of Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon from the home one mile north of DeWitt, with interment being made at the Walcott cemetery.
