Cather

Frank F. Cather, since Nov. 20, 1919, a resident of Davenport, died at 1 o’clock this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William H. Taylor, 2124 Farnam street, after a long illness.

He was born at Newton, Ill., Oct. 10, 1851, and received his education there, and on Sept. 3, 1874, married Miss Ida Johnson there. He was a member of the Christian church.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Wm. H. Taylor, with whom he had made his home since coming here; one nephew, Paul A. Cather of Davenport; and two half sisters, Mrs. Anna Ware of Parkstone, S.D., and Mrs. Dora Vandervoort of Neodosha, Kan.

The funeral will be held Wednesday from the home of Mrs. Taylor, 2124 Farnam street, at 2 o’clock, and the body will be taken at 4:20 to Newton, Ill., where interment will take place in Kedron cemetery Thursday afternoon, in the family lot beside his wife.
