Doohey
Yesterday morning at 8 o’clock at the family residence, 1716 Iowa street, occurred the death of Miss Jennie Doohey. She had been troubled with consumption for a long time going south during the summer for her health, but she grew so much worse that she only staid [sic] there about three weeks.
Deceased was born Sept. 22, 1873, in Davenport, where she has lived all her life. Previous to her becoming an invalid she had worked for the woolen mills as tailoress.
Her father, Michael Doohey, is a teamster on the government island.
The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 7, with interment in St. Marguerite’s cemetery.
