OBITUARY

BOTMANN, John C. Died at 6 o'clock this morning at the age of 83 years at his home in Eldridge. Funeral Sunday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment in City cemetery in Davenport.

John Botmann was a native of Germany, and served in the army of his country during the war decade of that country. He came to Davenport in 1864, and lived in this city for a great number of years. He was employed in the Decker malt house in Davenport for twenty-six years and for the past few years he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Anna Hahn, in Eldridge. One son, Henry Botmann, resides at Reinbeck, Ia., while two surviving daughters reside at Eldridge.
