Irad Asher b 28 December 1891 in Waukesha, WI, son of Lewis Micajah and Agnes "May" Noble Asher. Agnes brought Irad to Davenport as an infant. He attended Davenport schools and worked at various labor jobs while living in his mother's home.
He married Flora Martha Blankenfeld of Geneseo, IL on 24 August 1918 in St. John's Methodist Church in Davenport.
At various times, the family lived in Davenport and Geneseo. In 1946, when the family was living in Davenport, Flora and dtr Marian Louise moved permanently to Geneseo. Irad remained in Davenport where he helped care for Agnes who was blind.
Flora died 8 December 1958 in Geneseo. Irad died 29 September 1966 also in Geneseo. They are buried on the Blankenfeld lot in Geneseo's North Cemetery. They had 2 dtrs: May Elizabeth b 21 September 1919 in Geneseo who died of pneumonia when she was a freshman at Geneseo High School on 15 October 1934 and is buried with her parents.; Marian Louise, b 29 October 1929 in Davenport. She married Dale Herbert Keag in Geneseo on 14 December 1947. As of 1985, they make their home in Mesa, AZ.
