January 13, 1934 - December 21, 2024Beverly A. Einspahr, age 90, of Odebolt, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Odebolt Specialty Care of Odebolt, Iowa.
A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2024, at the United Methodist Church of Odebolt, Iowa. Rev. Ken Miller officiated. Interment followed at the Odebolt Cemetery of Odebolt, Iowa.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Ann Einspahr, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the age of 90.
Born on January 13, 1934, in Carroll, Iowa, Beverly was the daughter of Floyd and Muriel (Daniels) Bergman. Beverly received her education in Ida Grove, IA, Dow City, IA and graduated from Odebolt High School with the class of 1952. The highlight of her younger years was spending four summers with her grandmother Blanche Daniels Shaw who owned Lakewood Ball Room in Lake View, IA, where she worked in the café and hotel. Beverly met many head liners that played at the Lakewood Ball Room, including Lawrence Welk.
After graduation Beverly worked for Kalin groceries, Odebolt Drug Store, and as a nurses’ aide at Cherokee Hospital before marrying the love of her life Frederick Duane Einspahr on December 31, 1952. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage before Duane passed in 2008. Duane enlisted in the U.S. Army and the couple moved to Columbus, GA. Beverly returned to Odebolt to live with her parents while Duane was stationed in Korea. Upon discharge, the couple made their home on a farm north of Odebolt, where they welcomed their children Mike, Deb, and Steve.
Beverly spent her life devoted to her family and home, and was well known for creating wonderful baked goods for her family and friends to enjoy. Beverly was a gifted seamstress. She found joy in transforming fabric into beautiful garments and practical items, skillfully crafting everything from elegant wedding dresses to quilts and unique Teddy Bears, all treasured by friends and family.
A devoted Christian, Beverly was a member of the United Methodist Church of Odebolt, serving as the church secretary for nearly 50 years. Beverly also enjoyed belonging to numerous card and social clubs.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children Michael (Holly) Einspahr of Tempe, AZ, Debra (Merle) Miller of Odebolt, IA, and Steven (Kimberly) Einspahr of Dallas, TX; grandchildren Cory (Mindy) Miller, Kayla (Bill) McCormick, and Kristen Einspahr; great-grandchildren Avaree, Axton, Aspen, and Abbott; sisters Adrienne Ang and Emily Bergman; brother-in-law Bill (Rose) Einspahr; and sister-in-law Rita Einspahr (Charles); extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Muriel Bergman; husband Duane Einspahr; brother Norman Bergman; in-laws Leonard and Eva Einspahr; brothers-in-law Jim Ang and Howard Einspahr; and sister-in-law Margaret (Robert) Farbelow.
