February 19, 1954 - July 21, 2019

Susan Marie Green, age 65, of Lake View, IA, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Susan was born on February 19, 1954, in Carroll, IA, to Wilbert and Charlotte (Neville) Bengford. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Susan grew up in Odebolt and graduated from Odebolt High school with the class of 1972. After graduation, she attended Stewart Cosmetology School in Sioux City, IA.

Susan met Robert “Bob” Green, they created Piccadilly Circus Pizza and later sold the franchise. On May 22, 1976, they were united in marriage in Kiron, IA. They lived in Las Vegas from 1979 through 1988 where Susan worked as a blackjack dealer, and were blessed with a daughter, Cristina. They moved back to Lake View and opened the Country Inn/Jerzees. Bob passed away on March 4, 2014.

Susan enjoyed listening to music, playing cards, loved riding Harley Davidsons, and cruising around the lake. Family was everything. She cherished every moment she could spend with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughter Cristina (Bryan) Elliott of Odebolt, IA; grandchildren: Jerzee, Calvin, Connor, Kynzlee and Kaydence; brothers: Dean (Laurie) Bengford of Cape Coral, FL, Steven (Debra) Bengford of Arthur, IA, and Darrell (Traci) Bengford of Odebolt, IA; sister Julianne Bengford (Randy Schreck) of Arnolds Park, IA; her significant other Kevin “Cork” Masching of Lake View, IA; her beloved dog Duke; many extended family members and friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
