March 24, 1980 - July 13, 2019Jon Ryan Ziegmann, of Odebolt, Iowa, passed away on July 13, 2019, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Rodney, Iowa. He was the "surprise" twin born to Robert and Kristin (Keiser) Ziegmann on March 24, 1980, in Ida Grove, Iowa. Jon grew up in Odebolt, Iowa, and received his education from Odebolt-Arthur Community School graduating with the class of 1998. During his lifetime, Jon was employed at Spring Lake Construction, Miller Blacksmith and Welding, Ziegmann Trucking, and Ziegmann Brothers Farms. He currently owned and operated his own trucking company. Jon enjoyed racing his stock cars and riding his motorcycle. He was an avid outdoorsman who appreciated nature whether it be fishing or hunting deer and pheasants. He also took pride in remodeling his home.
Jon will be remembered by his family and many friends as a free spirit with the kindest heart and smirky smile. He was always up for a good adventure. He worked hard and played hard. Jon may not have attended church regularly, but remained a member of Odebolt First Presbyterian Church since Sunday School and confirmation there. His strong faith showed through his love of children, nature, and helping others any way could.
Left to cherish his memory include his parents, Robert and Kristin (Keiser) Ziegmann of Wall Lake, Iowa; twin brother Joel Ziegmann of Odebolt, Iowa; sister Jennifer (Frederick) Olson of Vail, Iowa; nieces Rianne Anderson, Sadie Olson, and Kenasyn Ziegmann; nephews Reece and Ryler Ziegmann; and grandmother Marilyn Keiser of Wall Lake, Iowa.
