Rousanne Theresa Tripp
August 12, 1965 - February 28, 2017

Rousanne Tripp, age 51, of Schaller, Iowa, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

A daughter of James and Julianne (Nelson) Seeley, Rousanne Theresa was born on August 12, 1965, in Denison, Iowa. Baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Charter Oak, she attended school in Schaller, graduating from Schaller High School in 1983. Next, she continued her education at Buena Vista University where she graduated in 1996 with Bachelor Degrees in Biology and Special Education.

On November 18, 1984, Rousanne married Nathan Tripp at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, Iowa. Subsequently, they were blessed with three daughters: Jacquelyn, Randall, and Kristen. While the girls were young, Rousanne served as a Brownie and Girl Scouts leader.

Rousanne worked as a special education teacher, a job she passionately enjoyed. Throughout her career, she was employed with the Boys and Girls Home in Cherokee and the Storm Lake Community Schools. She retired in May of 2015.

Rousanne had many hobbies which included gardening, working with arts and crafts, creating digital art through photography, going to garage sales, baking, and collecting rocks. Most of all, however, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Undoubtedly, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Jacquelyn (Bill) Tripp, of Denison, Iowa, Randall Tripp, of Schaller, Iowa, and Kristen Tripp, of Wichita, Kansas; her grandchildren: Haylie Marie, Payge Adyson, and Nathyn James Ray as well as Lyncoln Matthew Joseph; her mother, Julianne Seeley, of Schaller, Iowa; her sister, Susan (Thad) Seeley Roe, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; her nephews and niece: Sean Roe, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Angie (Nate) Tremblay, of Kiron, Iowa, Justin Neumann, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Shane (Nichole) Neumann, of Kiron, Iowa; her mother- and father-in-law, Dolly and Urban Tripp; her sister-in-law, Roxie Neumann; and her brother-in-law, Hank (Cindy) Myrice, and their son, Nathan Myrice; as well as extended family members and friends.

Rousanne was preceded in death by her father, James Seeley; husband, her Nathan Tripp; her grandchildren: Cyrus and Daltyn Jaykob Tripp; her grandparents: May Tripp and Emery and Evelyn Nelson, Ernest and Virginia Seeley; her great grandparents, Earl and Marie Ehrke; and her uncle, Roger Crum.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Schaller. Burial will follow in the Cook Center Cemetery in Schaller. Visitation will take place Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is overseeing the arrangements.
