LeRoy Trimble
Glenn LeRoy Trimble, son of Harry Glenn & Lois Pearl (Buck) Trimble, was born May 26, 1927, at home in Ringgold County, Iowa. LeRoy was welcomed into the home by his two sisters, Mary Margaret & Doris Marie.

LeRoy attended and graduated from Kellerton High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his honorable discharge from the military, LeRoy was united in marriage to Betty Jean Allen on June 6, 1954. Betty Jean, better known as Butch, was a teacher at the time and she left that profession to be a full-time farm wife and lifelong partner with LeRoy. They farmed south of Kellerton for many years before retiring and moving into Mount Ayr in the fall of 1999.

LeRoy loved music. He loved to dance, and the American Legion and Chicken Inn were a couple of his favorite spots. He sang with a quartet and would sometimes sing solo as Butch accompanied him on piano. He loved his fast cars, motorcycles, and golfing to name a few. He won several golfing awards. LeRoy had a strong faith and enjoyed attending and supporting area churches. He will be remembered for his hard work ethic, optimistic attitude, and smile.

LeRoy passed away June 26, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and their husbands Mary (Lloyd) Stephens and Doris (Paul) Hannon; sister-in-law Nadine (Hallie) Myers; nephew Gordon Myers.
