Mrs. Lida E. Thompson, nee Dorris, was born in Warren County, Ill., May 30, 1869. She moved with her parents to Ringgold county, about ten years since. Was married to Benj. H. Thompson November 6, 1886. She made a profession of religion when about 15 years of age. Was a member first of the Evangelical Association and afterward of the Congregational church. She moved after her marriage to Kansas, and returned to Ringgold county Ia., December 1888. She died at the home of her father, W.H. Dorris, at Mt. Ayr, March 4, 1889. Her end was peace.
