OBITUARY
Ted. D. HUFF, one of 13 children of Henry Willis and Sophia (CASTOR) HUFF, was born May 26, 1905, in Barlett, Neb., and departed this life June 7, 1968, in the Ringgold county hospital in Mount Ayr at the age of 63 years and 12 days.

Mr. HUFF had been ill for several years and bedfast the last three months.

On Dec. 12, 1927, he was united in marriage with Verna C. RAINS at Creston and of this union were born eight children.

Since 1932 until the family moved to Mount Ayr in 1961, Mr. HUFF had been engaged in farming in Decatur and Ringgold counties. Until ill health caused his retirement, he was employed by the Draper Produce.

He was preceded in death by two children, Billy Eugege and Marion Lois; his father and five brothers and sisters.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his devoted widow, Verna; six children - Don, of Kellerton, Carter, of Ellston, Francis Kay, of Lincoln, Neb., Darrold, of Cedar Falls, Carroll, of Albany, Ore., and Janet MERCER, of Mount Ayr; five daughters-in-law, Connie, Shirley, Judy, LuAnn and Ellen HUFF; a son-in-law, Donald MERCER; 15 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Sophia HUFF, of Weeping Water, Neb.; two brothers, Andy and Floyd, of Yakima, Wash.; five sisters, Bernice PLETCHER, of Barlett, Neb., Lula HYDE, of Scottsbluff, Neb., Thelma KROGH and Gladys NOBLE, of Weeping Water, and Maggie COLLINS, of Dos Palos, Calif.; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held June 9, from the Prugh-Dunfee funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. George A. McMULLEN, of Diagonal. Mrs. Jim JONES sang, accompanied at the organ by Margaret PENCE, and casket-bearers were Pat RICE, Chester WALLER, Leo MORGAN, Forest MORGAN, Paul CLARK, and Harold KEPLINGER. Burial was in the Rose Hill cemetery at Mount Ayr.
