DEATH OF SAMUEL CLOUGH
Word was received last week that Samuel CLOUGH, father of Cashier Joseph CLOUGH, is seriously ill at Ridgeway, Mo. The old gentleman is 82 years of age, and it is hardly possible that he will recover.

Later: -Samuel CLOUGH died at Ridgeway, Sunday, May 28, and was brought to Ellston and buried at the Cornwall chapel, Tuesday, May 30, at 5 p.m.

OBITUARY - SAMUEL CLOUGH
Samuel CLOUGH was born April 26, 1824, at Alna, Lincoln county, Maine, and died May 28, 1905, at Ridgeway, Mo., aged 81 years, 1 month and 2 days. Mr. CLOUGH settled in Henry county, Iowa, in 1852 where he met and married Miss Mary F. MORLEY on April 17, 1853. To this union were born seven sons and six daughters, all of whom, together with the mother, live to mourn their loss, excepting one daughter, Mrs. Lenore SHERWOOD, who died five years ago. Mr. and Mrs. CLOUGH moved to Pleasant township, Union county, in 1864, where they lived and raised their family to maturity. Both have worked hard and done their full share towards improving and bettering the country.
