OBITUARY
Arbie Lelia STANLEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher STANLEY, was born in Alliance, Neb., March 26, 1887.

When a child she came with her parents to Harden county, Iowa, and later moved to Ringgold county, where she grew to womanhood.

On January 23, 1913, she was united in marriage to Oscar David GARLAND, and to this union seven children were born, one of whom, Bertram, died in infancy.

She united with the Methodist church in her youth, but her poor health prevented her from doing many of the things which she would have enjoyed. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, and very patient in her suffering of many months. After everything was done for her that kind and loving hands could do she passed away at her home in Tingley June 11, 1946, at the age of 59 years, 2 months and 15 days.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband; two daughters, Iola FERGUSON and Berniece FERGUSON, of Tingley, and four sons, Stanley and Truman, of Kansas City, Mo., Richard, of Des Moines, and Dean, of Tingley; 11 grandchildren; step-father, James SHARP; a half-brother, Harvey SHARP; two step-brothers and a step-sister, Mrs. Bertha HAMLIN, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Edwards Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. A.R. WEED, pastor of the Methodist church. Interment was in the Tingley cemetery.
