OBITUARY ~ VALERIE KAY (KARR) FLETCHALL
May 04, 1968 ~ May 06, 2018

Valerie Kay (Karr) Fletchall was born May 4, 1968 in Mount Ayr to Corwin Dwight Karr, Sr. and Shirley Sue (Sickels) Karr. Her family lived in Mount Ayr a short time before moving to the farm near Caledonia. Valeria graduated from Mount Ayr High School and later attended SWCC to get her LPN license.

Valeria later married Brent Fletchall and to this union one son, Nathan was born. Valerie and Brent later divorced. She had worked as a nurse and recently was the head housekeeper for the Mount Ayr Inn. Valerie passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Greater Regional Hospice House in Creston.

Valerie was preceded in death by parents; nephew Johnny Roberts; niece Donna Karr.

Left to cherish her life are her son Nathan Fletchall; her siblings Gerry (Ross) King of Mount Ayr, John Roberts of Coffee, MO, Gene (Janice) Karr of Union Star, MO, and Danny (Brenda) Karr of Mount Ayr; Corwin Karr, Jr. of Mount Ayr, Charletta Pickering of Grant City, MO and Randy Karr of CO; nieces and nephews, Mike King, Jamie (Lisa) King, Ryan (Jamee) King, Joey King, Jodie (Paul) Clair, Katie (fiancé Jeremy) Karr, Nickie (fiancé Josh) Karr, Courtney Karr, Cynthia Karr, Karissa (Johnny) Finley, Holly (Thomas) Kerwin, Ramona Karr, Bobby (Kyla) McClain, Steven McClain, Dorian Middleton, Tony Pickering and Ashley Pickering; many aunts, uncles, great-nieces and nephews and extended family.

Memorials may be directed to Nathan Fletchall.

The family will have a gathering at Valerie’s home at 2423 County Highway J55, Mount Ayr, Iowa, on Sunday, May 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be served and feel free to bring your lawn chairs and share memories.
