Marion H. Ethington, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Methodist Hospital. Marion was born June 12, 1934 in Diagonal, Iowa to Boyd and Annabelle Ethington. He graduated from Kellerton High School in 1953. He then served in the Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He returned to Des Moines, Iowa where he worked at Ruan Transport for 43 years. Marion was a proud member of the Masons for over 50 years.
Marion is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn; his children, Boyd (Belinda) and Becky; four grandchildren, Heather Osborn (Jeff), Holly Winkelman (Jayson) and Alivia and Alexia Schuring; and four great-grandchildren, Jade and Josie Osborn and Rylee and Jaxson Winkelman. He is also survived by his siblings, Carol (Lloyd) Reed and Jim (Olivia) Ethington; brother-in-law, Duane (Jean) Davenport and many nieces and nephews. Marion was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Fox and brother, Jack Ethington.
Per Marion's wishes, a funeral will not be held. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle and friend.
