July 25, 1938 ~ July 31, 2017Donna Jean (Dunbar) Burgess was born July 25, 1938 in Leon, Iowa to Clarence Lee and Virginia M. (Jones) Dunbar. Donna was educated in Decatur County, Iowa.
Donna had a big heart and loved her family dearly. She was a great mother. Donna loved to make quilts and afghans. She was a member of the women on the Moose.
Donna passed away at her home on July 31, 2017.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brother Joseph Dunbar; sister Violet Dunbar.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Steve Wolfe; four sons, Ron (wife Margie) Kniepfel, Richard Kniepfel, Randy Kniepfel and James Burgess; two daughters, Debbie Kniepfel and Cleta Ann Draper; two sisters, Rosie Peterson and Mary Furman; other family and friends.
Services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017, Armstrong Funeral Home – Mount Ayr, Iowa, with officiant Rev. Skip Rushing. Interment was made at Elk Chapel Cemetery – rural Decatur County, Iowa
