OBITUARY ~ LARRY ALLAN CORLL
June 12, 1941 ~ June 08, 2017

Larry Allan Corll was born on June 12, 1941 in Mount Ayr, IA and passed away on June 8, 2017, in Mount Ayr. Larry graduated from Mount Ayr Community High School and then attended Northwest Missouri State College in Maryville, MO, where he graduated with a degree in business.

After college, Larry went on to work for Economics Laboratory but decided early on that corporate life was not for him. He then went into the construction business where he could pretty much do anything from building folding TV stands to building homes. One of his proudest accomplishments was building a new house for his mother. Larry continued “building” things right to the end even though the last few years were difficult with some physical health problems.

Larry was in the Army and served his country in Vietnam. This was a difficult period in his life that he did not like to talk about. Larry was not big into hobbies other than his love of horses of which he owned several over the years.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia “Susie” Corll, father William “Willie” Corll, sister, Phyllis Ann Corll, nephew, Kirk Davenport and niece, Kelly Davenport.

Larry leaves behind his sister, Norma Kay Thompson and her husband Larry Thompson, of Huxley, IA, brother, Don Corll and his wife, Barbara of Estero, FL, plus several nieces and cousins.

Per Larry’s wishes, he has been cremated and no services were scheduled. Online condolences may be left at: www.armstrongfh.com
