OBITUARY ~ CAROL ANN (ENGLAND) VARNER KINDER
May 19, 1945 ~ January 01, 2017

Carol Ann (England) Varner Kinder, born May 19, 1945 in Page County Iowa. Oldest child of Everitt “Spec” and June (Hutchinson) England. Carol Ann grew up in the Clearfield community and attended Clearfield Community School were she was active in cheerleading and a majorette, and reigned as homecoming queen her senior year in 1963. Carol Ann’s real passion and first love were her horses, we are certain that many of the worlds problems were solved by Carol Ann while on horseback.

After graduation Carol Ann made the move to the big city of Des Moines with her life long friend Kathy Beggs Flam. Carol lasted a whole 4 weeks away from home, found that she hated the city life and decided to come home to Clearfield where she promptly married her high school sweetheart Bradford Varner on August 31, 1963.

To this union a son Jeffery Clay Varner was born on October 13, 1964 and a daughter, Bobbi Jo (Varner) Bartles born April 27, 1967. Brad and Carol were divorced in 1971. On August 7, 1972 Carol was united in marriage to Dannie Hugh Kinder in Rockport, Missouri. Upon this union Carol gained 2 step-children, Julie Ann and Andy Wayne and on May 14, 1974 Dannie and Carol were blessed with the birth of their daughter Angela Sue “Beansoup”.

It’s difficult to sum up Carol Ann’s life in only a few paragraphs but we can say that her life was full! Her greatest joys were sharing her love of the Lord, being a loving and devoted wife and mother and smothering her grandbabies no matter how old with love and kisses. Her love for any family member was selfless, in fact there were many arguments among nieces, nephews and cousins that Carol Ann was their grandma too! Along with the privledge of being one of Carol Ann’s kids, grandkids or adopted grandkids, as quick as she was to dish out kisses she was just as quick to give out a famous smack to the back of the head if you screwed up. If friendships were measured by riches, Carol Ann was wealthy beyond our imagination and the lives she touched are immeasurable.
