September 07, 1936 ~ October 17, 2016Catherine Monica Stryker was born on September 7, 1936 in Maloy, Iowa. She obtained her R.N. degree as well as her B.S.N. and her M.S. degree in social work. She passed away on Oct. 17, 2016 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edward and Marea Sheil; brothers: Jim, Bill, Jerry and Mike Sheil; and husband, Dr. Robert M. Stryker.
Catherine is survived by her daughter, Katie Weinert (Marty); two grandchildren, Dane Weinert and Drew Weinert; great-grandson, Oliver Weinert; brother, John Sheil (Martha); sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
A vigil service was held Wednesday, October 19 at 7 p.m. at the Bel Air Chapel in Omaha, Nebraska. Mass of Christian burial was Thursday, October 20 at 10:30 a.m., St. John Vianney Catholic Church, in Omaha. Interment is at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Omaha.
