OBITUARY ~ DORIS MAHRENHOLZ
~ September 22, 2016

Doris Mahrenholz, 91, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016. A Graveside Service was held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 28 at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.

Doris was a long-time resident of Des Moines Iowa until 1996 when she relocated to live with her daughter. She retired from Northwestern Bell/Quest in May,1992 after 42 years of service. She was a member of Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Des Moines, Iowa. Doris was also a lifetime member of Qwest Pioneers. She was a beautiful lady and a wonderful mother. She loved life, was always ready for an adventure and dearly loved her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Paula Mahrenholz; sister, Aileen Dickerson; brother, Charles Hogue; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert and sisters, Ann Larson and Mary McCreary.

Contributions may be made in loving memory of Doris to a charity of your choice. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta is handling the arrangements in Georgia and coordinating with Iles Funeral Home, Dunn’s Chapel for the arrangements in Des Moines.
