OBITUARY ~ MARGARET KAY (BELL) HUNT
June 19, 1946 ~ September 09, 2016

Margaret Kay (Bell) Hunt, daughter of Keith and Lillian (Sandy) Bell, was born June 19, 1946 in Independence, Missouri. She departed this life at the age of 70, on September 9, 2016 in the comfort of her home in Avondale, Arizona.

Margaret grew up in Lamoni and Winterset, Iowa. She graduated from Winterset High School, Class of 1964. She received her credentials as a beautician/cosmetologist from Americana Academy of Beauty in 1965. Margaret enjoyed a 35 year career as a beautician and businesswoman in various places such as Omaha, NE, Honolulu HI, Lamoni, IA, Kellerton, IA, Mount Ayr, IA, and Sun City, AZ. On February 14, 1965 Margaret married Richard Duane Welch. To this union two children were born: Shellie and Ryan. Margaret married Kenneth Lee Hunt on January 20, 1980. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren at every opportunity.

Margaret is preceded in death by her beloved parents, grandparents, and in-laws. She is survived by Kenneth Hunt, her husband of 36.5 years, sister Carol Ann (Bell) and husband Elliott George, daughter Shellie (Welch) Mason, sons Ryan Welch, Chad and wife Julia Hunt, Neil Hunt, Ryan and wife Jillian Hunt, and Jacob Hunt, plus seven grandchildren as well as a multitude of friends and other relatives.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Ringgold County, Iowa. Luncheon to follow at the REC building in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
