OBITUARY ~ LINDA KAY (ADAMS) HOWARD
December 07, 1949 ~ May 24, 2016Linda K. Howard, age 66, of Dows passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.
Funeral service for Linda K. Howard will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Morgan United Methodist Church east of Dows. Pastor Judy Eilders will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Dows.
Visitation for Linda K. Howard will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Dugger Funeral Home, 100 North Lee Street, in Dows. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dugger Funeral Home in Dows.
Linda Kay was born on December 7, 1949 to John Barling and Anna Flagg Adams in Billings, Montana. Linda graduated from Grand Valley High School and went on to South West Community College in Creston.
On April 8, 1973 Linda was united into marriage with Homer Howard in Kellerton, Iowa. The couple was blessed with two sons: Jim and John. She worked as the receptionist for the clinic in Dows and Latimer and at Walmart for a short time.
Linda was a devoted and loving mother and wife. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to play cards and scrapbook. Shopping was her favorite thing to do. She also loved helping the American Legion.
Linda is survived by her husband Homer, two sons James Howard and John (Shannon) Howard, sisters Sharron Pitts of Des Moines and Charlotte Jennings of Ellston, 5 brothers Darrell (Brenda) and family of Kellerton, Harold (Mary) and family of Ankeny, Gerold (Barb) and family of Kellerton, Jerold (Deanna) and family of Kellerton, Carrol (Brenda) and family of Kellerton, sister Phyllis (Jeff) of Kellerton, and three grandchildren Lynzie, Caitlyn, and Rebel James.
She is preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Anna, and sister Donna Adams.
Arrangements were handled by Dugger Funeral Homes, Dows, Iowa
