Sturm, Dennis Dean -
Dennis Sturm, 34, of Tarkio, Mo., was killed in a loader accident at the Missouri Beef Packers Corp. plant near Rockport, Mo., Wed., Feb. 8,
1978. He was yard foreman at the plant.
He was a former resident of the Clearfield community and attended Clearfield Community Schools. He received a BS degree from Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville, Mo.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Sturm of Lenox and was married at Clearfield in 1960 to Wanda Lyddon.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert and Brian, and a daughter, Kim, all at home; his parents; and three brothers, Dave Sturm of Greene, Dale Sturm of Lenox and Duane Sturm of Iowa City.
Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Davis Funeral Home at Tarkio. Rev. Tim McFarland officiated. Burial was in the Clearfield cemetery, where graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
He had lived in Tarkio since 1969 and previously had lived in Maryville for seven years.

Sturm, Dennis Dean -
Dennis Dean Sturm, the son of Cleo and Alfreda (Reynolds) Sturm, was born at Creston, la., Nov. 23, 1943 and passed away at the Missouri Beef Packers plant near Rock Port, Mo., Feb. 8, 1978 at 34 years, 2 months and 15 days of age.
He had attended the Clearfield Public Schools and graduated from Clearfield High School. He later graduated from Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville, Mo.
On Sept. 24, 1960, he was united in marriage to Wanda Lyddon of Clearfield and to this union three children were born. While attending college in Maryville,
he worked at the Merrigan Sale Barn. In the fall of 1969 he moved to Tarkio and for the past seven years has been employed at the Missouri Beef Packers plant near Rock Port as yard foreman. He was a member of the Tarkio Christian Church and was a Deacon, serving on the church board and the property committee.
He was a devoted father and spent much of his spare time working with horses.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda; a daughter, Pamela Kim Sturm and two sons, Robert Dean Sturm and Brian Lee Sturm, all of the home; his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Cleo Sturm of Lenox; and three brothers, Dave Sturm of Greene, la.; Dale Sturm of Lenox and Duane Sturm of Iowa City.
Memorial gifts will be given to the Tarkio Christian Church.
Services were at the Davis Funeral Home Feb. 11, with interment in the Clearfield cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Buck, Wain Winger, John F.
Currie, John Sanda, Larry Hicks and Denton Chambers.
Organist and soloist were Mrs. Linda McFarland and Mrs Janett Adams.
