OBITUARY ~ PETER DELP

Peter DELP was born October 30, 1831, in Pennsylvania. When he was twenty-five years old he came to Illinois. He was married to Miss Elizabeth BYERLY in 1856 and in 1870 they moved to Iowa. Seven children were born to this union and four of them have preceeded him to the better land. Those living are George, who is at home, William F. of Kansas, and Mrs. George HIGDAY, of Kellerton. Mr. DELP united with the Evangelical church when he was about twenty-five years old.

When he came to Iowa he united with the United Brethren church of which he was a consistent member and he died as he lived, in the triumph of living faith, age 78 years, 2 months and 4 days.

NOTE: Peter DELP died on January 4, 1910, Kellerton, Iowa, and was interred at Oliver Cemetery.
