OBITUARY ~ CARROLL STRANGE

Carroll "Bones" STRANGE, oldest son of Ray and Dorothy STRANGE, was born March 21, 1939 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, and passed away suddenly January 14, 1992 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

His family moved to California but later returned to Diagonal where he attended school. He graduated in 1957. He served 20 years with the United States Navy. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He leaves to mourn his wife and high school sweetheart Sheryl (SOBOTKA) and three children: Scott and wife Lisa, Susan and husband Tom, Jeff and wife Donna, also three grandchildren -- Sara and Amy STRANGE and KRISTEN TAYLOR, all of Virginia Beach. A brother, Larry of Green River, Wyoming, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1972 and his father in 1989.

Carroll will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. He loved his family and was happiest when they were around. He loved sports, hunting and fishing and in recent years developed an interest in restoring old cars.

Services were held January 17, 1992 at Kellum Funeral Home. Burial with military honors was at Princess Anne Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, VA.
