Thursday, October 26, 1922OBITUARY ~ WILLIAM KELLEY
Wm. KELLEY was born in Draperstown County of Londonderry, Ireland, Aug. 1, 1858, and died in Beaconsfield, Iowa, Oct. 14, 1922.
He came to this country at the age of ten years, living in the city [illegible] of twenty-three when he settled in Buda, Ill. Here in 1870, he married Miss Susannah NEGLEY. To this union were born seven children, JOHN KELLEY and Mrs. Sadie LANDON, of Des Moines; Wm. KELLEY, of Shelby, Neb.; Mary WALLER, near Ellston; Mrs. Myrtle WOOLUMS, of Beaconsfield, and Chas. KELLEY, of Humeston.
In 1880, the family moved to Iowa, settling on a homestead in Ringgold County. Five years ago, he removed to Beaconsfield, where six months ago, April 15, his wife, the faithful companion of the years, departed this life.
Mr. KELLEY was brought up in the Catholic Faith, but in 1890 he joined the Masonic Fraternity.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church in Beaconsfield, Monday, Oct. 16, by J. E. HABLISTON and Theo. KIES. Interment was at the Grand River Cemetery.
