OBITUARY ~ MABLE LUELLA (McGANDY) BRAGG

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- Mable Luella BRAGG, 90, Kirksville, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at a Kirksville hospital.

She was born May 14, 1911, in Ellston, Iowa, to Franklin Monroe and Elta Margaret SHERWOOD McGANDY. She spent her early life in the Illinois Bend community west of LaPlata, Mo., and attended Illinois Bend rural school. She moved to Kirksville in 1956.

She was a member of the Christian Church in the Illinois Bend community.

She married Kenneth BRAGG on Sept. 12, 1931, in Queen City, Mo. He died Aug. 24, 1999.

Survivors include three sons, Dean BRAGG, Clarence Mo., Lawrence "Abner" BRAGG, LaPlata, Mo., and Jerry BRAGG, Cody, Wyo.; four daughters, Barbara ANDERSON, Topeka, Laura Belle EITEL, Rockford, Ill., Marjorie HUBBARD, Greentop, Mo., and Janet WATTS, Broken Arrow, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Travis Funeral Chapel in LaPlata, Mo. Burial will be in LaPlata, Mo., Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
