Kilgore, Harry Wayne –
Thursday, Sept. 28th, Harry, the 9-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Kilgore, who live four miles north of Diagonal, met death in a tragic
manner. He had returned home from school, saddled a horse, and started after the cattle. The horse returned to the house in a short time much frightened, and with the saddle hanging. The parents immediately went to search for Harry, and soon found him. Life was extinct, his head and face were so badly mutilated as to be unrecognizable. It is thought that the horse became frightened and that the boy slipped off, catching his foot in the stirrup, and was dragged nearly half a mile.

Harry Wayne Kilgore was born on a farm near Clearfield July 18th,1907. He was a bright little fellow, much loved by his playmates. He
leaves to mourn his loss his parents, four brothers and three sisters, besides aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the home Saturday, Sept. 30th by Rev. F. A.; Meade, pastor of the Knowlton Methodist church.
