Shepherd, Grat -
Miss Grat Shepherd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Shepherd was born in Gainesville, Ohio 82 years ago. She came with her parents to Iowa when quite young, the major portion of her life was spent in Clearfield vicinity, until sickness made it necessary she go to the nursing home in Mt. Ayr where death came Thursday morning. She was a primary teacher in the Clearfield school for many years and also a member of the M. L. C. Club. Funeral rites were conducted at the United Presbyterian church, Saturday 2 p.m. by Rev. Pleon. Interment was in Clearfield cemetery.
