Ethington, Annetta McLaughlin -
Mrs. Anetta Ethington, 82, died at her home in Clearfield at 10:30 p. m. Saturday. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church there at 2 p. m, on Tuesday, Rev. C. E. McPherson officiating. Burial in the Clearfield cemetery.

Mrs. Ethington had lived in Clearfield for the past 33 years. Her husband, James, preceded her in death in 1922. Surviving her are three sons, Clarence of Diagonal, Frank Creston and Harold of Ames;
three daughters, Mrs. Mattie Reed of Friona, Texas, Mrs. Lena Wood and Mrs. Myrtle Shaffer, both of Clearfield; and a brother, Fred McLaughlin, of Scranton, Iowa.

Ethington, Anneta McLaughlin -
Annetta McLaughlin, daughter of Mr. .and Mrs. John McLaughlin,
was born in Andrew county, Mo., Juno 6, 1869 and passed away Jan. 19th, 1952 at her home in Clearfield at the age of 82 years.

On May 25th, 1886, she was united in marriage to James
Ethington. They lived near Clearfield until 1919, when they
moved to town. They were the parents of three sons and four daughters: Frank of Creston: Clarence of Diagonal; Harold of Ames; Mattie Reed of Friona, Texas; Myrtle Shaffer and Lena Wood of Clearfield. One daughter died in infancy and the husband and
father died in 1922.

Besides the three sons and three daughters to cherish her memory are one brother, Fred McLaughlin of Scranton, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Bush of Mason City, and Mrs. W. A. Wiley of Clarinda, also 35 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on January 22nd at the Methodist church in Clearfield. Interment was in the Clearfield cemetery.
