Thursday, April 14, 2011OBITUARY ~ CONNIE JO (HULL) HUBBARD
Connie Jo (HULL) HUBBARD of Mount Ayr, Iowa, died peacefully Friday, April 8, 2011, at her home.
She was born at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr on June 28, 1964, to the proud parents of Lyle and Arnolene HULL and two siblings, Dick and Kim.
Connie began her nursing career by attending Southwestern Community College, Creston, Iowa, in 1994, graduating with an LPN nursing degree in 1995. She was a caring person who always had a great connection to people which made this career choice perfect. She went on to work at many nursing care facilities during her career with the last taking care of her parents. She was a great nurse and compassionate person who touched many lives.
She was an avid reader of books and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sons and family.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd (Dinky), her son, Steven and parents-in-law, Noel and Lorraine HUBBARD.
She is survived by her son, Matt, of Des Moines, Iowa and son, Jacob; daughter-in-law, Audrie; grandchildren, Caleb and Kylie of Diagonal, Iowa; her parents, Lyle and Arnolene (GRAHAM) HULL; brother, Dick and wife Marsha and children Joe, Michelle and Ashely; sister, Kim (HULL) NIEMAN and husband Jeff and son Raece, as well as many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr at 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Rev. Ed SHIELDS will officiate. Musicians will be Melanie KNAPP, Mary DAVENPORT and Andy TRULLINGER.
Honorary pallbearers are Derick DRAKE, Tony EVANGELISTA, Jeff NIEMAN, Raece NIEMAN, Dick HULL and Riley HAWBAKER.
A memorial fund has been established at the Watson-Armstrong Funeral home in her name to be decided later.
Connie will be laid to rest at Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington, Texas at 12 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011.
