OBITUARY - JUDY ARLENE (RUMMANS) KEEP
July 25, 1946 ~ February 19, 2011

Judy KEEP, 64, of Tingley, Iowa, died Saturday, February 19, 2011, at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr. No memorial service will be held at this time. Open visitation will be Friday, February 25, 2011, from 2 to 7 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Powers Funeral Home at the junction of highways 34 and 25 in Creston. Judy Arlene (RUMMANS) KEEP Keep, daughter of Charles LeRoy RUMMANS and Dorothy Arlene (SMELTZER) RUMMANS was born July 25, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa. Judy graduated from Millikan high school in Long Beach, California.

In 1966 her family moved to Mount Ayr, Iowa. She worked for the Mount Ayr Cap Factory, Clearview Nursing Home for 17 years, worked at a hog confinement in Diagonal and was a caretaker for many years. Judy bowled in a league in Mount Ayr. She loved her horses (Bucky and Cheyenne) and her dogs (Patty and Dallas).

Judy is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Lynn (husband Mike) MARSHALL of Tingley, Iowa; three grandchildren, Kaseie (husband Brad) MITCHELL of Iowa City, Iowa, Bridget DOWDELL of Creston, Iowa and Michael DOWDELL of Tingley, Iowa; three step-grandchildren, Matt BECKER of Creston, Iowa, Jamie MARSHALL of Creston, Iowa and John MARSHALL of Indianola, Iowa; two step-great-grandchildren, Riley Ford and Silas BECKER.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
