OBITUARY - C. H. FERBER

Charles Herman FERBER died Feb. 17, 1904, at 9 o'clock p.m. at the residence of his son George in Poe township. He was born in Frankenberg, Germany, Dec. 13, 1830, and came to America June 7, 1853. He lived at St. James, Neb. 60 years. The rest of his life was spent in Ringgold County, Iowa. He was married to Catharine Amelia SHURE at Council Bluffs, Iowa, May 31, 1866. He joined the M. E. Church in 1868 at St. James, Neb. His wife died Oct. 11, 1891. To this union were born 14 children, of which ten are living - fve sons and five daughters, all being at his bedside when he passed away, except one daughter, Mrs. Minnie PHILLIPS of Custer, Okla.
