Darrel Dean Baker of Grove Park (FL) died Saturday at his home following an extended illness. He was 58.
Mr. Baker was born in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, and lived in Alachua County for 23 years. He served in the U. S. Navy and was the retired owner and operator of Baker Maintenance. He was Protestant.
Survivors include his fiancee, Clelan Fowler of Grove Park; three daughters, Vickie Hester of Selma, N. C., Cheri Bouchie of West Swanzey, N. H., and Adrienne Baker of Gainsville; two sons, Darrel D. Baker, Jr. and Bill Baker, of Keene, N. H.; three sisters, Evelyn Bradley of Minneapolis and Rosemary Blauer and Cheryl Smith , both of Des Moines, Iowa; four brothers, Dick Baker of Des Moines, Kenneth Baker of Osceola, Iowa, Ralph Baker of Blue Springs, Mo., and Terry Baker of Tokyo, Japan; a step daughter Tammy Walden of Alachua; a stepson Richard Walden of Gainsville; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial Services for Mr. Baker...will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 1994 at Williams-Thomas Chapel of the Chimes with Rev. Miles Patterson officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home......In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of North Central Florida.
