OBITUARY.

Clara [L.] PARKHURST was born September 25, 1878, in Ringgold county, Iowa, and passed away May 13, 1931, at the Greater Community hospital at Creston, Iowa, being 52 years, seven months and 18 days of age.

On January 5, 1914, at Centerville, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Edgar SCONCE, the ceremony being performed by Rev. J. A. McKENZIE. Mr. and Mrs. SCONCE had made their home continually on the home place at Redding, Iowa, during their wedded life, and her absence will be felt greatly by all who knew her.

In 1911 she united with the Christian church at Clearfield, Iowa.

She leaves her husband, three sisters and one brother to mourn her departure. They wish to thank all of their neighbors and friends who have been so kind during the illness and in the loss of their loved one.

Funeral services were held at Redding, Iowa, on May 15, 1931, conducted by Rev. W. Harold SMITH, pastor of the Church of Christ of Mount Ayr, Iowa. Interment at Redding cemetery.
