NOTICE of DEATH

Hugh A. WHITE died at his home in Mt. Ayr last Friday, aged 58 years. He was born in Mercer County, Pa., and served during the war in a battery of heavy artillery. He settled in Ringgold County in 1868. He served as recorder and sheriff at his county and was postmaster at Mt. Ayr during Harrison's administration. By his first wife, Mr. WHITE had five children, all of whom survive him. His second wife was Mary AVERY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. N. AVERY of this city [Leon].
