OBITUARY.
Died at her father's home, Grace Eugene WHEELER, she being the youngest of the family. She was born November 25, 1873 and died July 1, 1893, being almost twenty years of age. The Lord plucked her as a rose in full bloom for a jewel in his kingdom. She has been a great sufferer for the past two years but bore it all with patience, saying she was going to Jesus and wanted father, mother, mother (sic), brother and sister to meet her there. Her faith was strong in Jesus and with a smiling countenance she said she trusted in Jesus and was willing to meet him and knew he would save her.
"Trusting in Jesus, Oh what should I fear,
Nothing can harm me when he is so near;
Sweet is the promise he giveth to me,
I am as happy as mortal can be."Such were here (sic) her last words and testimony. The songs, "Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus," and "What a friend we have in Jesus" were sung by a large congregation in the shade of the trees which seemed to sympathize with us in their stillness. A scriptural lesson was read and remarks were made by Rev. H. THARP. The body was laid to rest in the Shay [Platte River] cemetery. The family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
