OBITUARY - MRS. EARL E. WEST.

Ada Fay MARSHALL, youngest daughter of John D. and Mary Ellen MARSHALL, was born in Ringgold county near Benton February 2, 1886, and departed this life April 6, 1928, age 41 years, two months and four days.

She has been a silent sufferer for the past few years, always lending a helping hand and giving a cheerful smile to others.

In early life she united with the Methodist church and has always been a faithful worker for the Master.

On February 26, 1908, she was united in marriage to Earl E. WEST. To this union was born one daughter, Nina Alma.

She was a trustworthy and loving wife and a kind and patient mother.

She leaves to mourn her departure her faithful husband, one daughter, Nina Alma, of Benton, on sisters, Mrs. Lena HAYWORTH, of Monroe, Oregon, and her father, John D. MARSHALL, of Benton. Her mother and one sister, Pearl, preceded her in death. The mother died about thirty years ago and her sister about a week ago. There are three nephews and one niece and a host of relatives and friends that will greatly miss her. [Interment at Benton Cemetery.]

"Call not back the dear departed,
Anchored safe where storms are o'er.
On the border land we left her,
Soon to meet and part no more.
WHen we leave this world of care,
We shall find our missing loved one
In our Father's mansion fair.
One by one earth's ties are broken
As we see our love decay.
And the hopes so fondly cherished
Brighten but to pass away.
One by one our hopes grow brighter
As we near the shining shore,
For we know across the river
Wait the loved ones gone before."

Card of Thanks.

We take this means of expressing to our friends and neighbors our sincere and heart-felt thanks for the floral offerings and for the kindness shown in help and sympathy during the illness and death of our dear wife and mother.

EARL WEST AND DAUGHTER ALMA WEST.
JOHN D. MARSHALL, her father.

NOTE: Emmett "Earl" WEST, husband of Ada Fay (MARSHALL), was born on March 18, 1885, and died on September 5, 1970 with interment at Benton Cemetery, Benton, Ringgold County, Iowa.
