OBITUARY - MRS. RAYMOND WEAVER.

Dicy Ferne GOLLIDAY, daughter of Abner and Martha GOLLIDAY, was born March 13, 1901, at Benton, Iowa, and departed this life at the University hospital, Iowa City, Iowa, April 14, 1931, aged 30 years, one month and one day.

She was united in marriage to Raymond WEAVER. To this union was born three children, Marie, Duane and Thelma WEAVER.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband and children and one daughter, Iona PALMER, by a former marriage; her mother, Martha GOLLIDAY of Benton, and four brothers, John and Charles of Benton, Earl of Blockton, and Willie of Conception, Mo. Her father and one sister Dora preceded her in death. She united with the Christian church of Benton in early life. She was a devoted wife and mother and took such a great interest in her children and home. She was held in high esteem by all her friends.

The funeral services were held in Athelstan Baptist church April 16, conducted by Challie E. GRAHAM, and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery at the same place [Athelstan Cemetery, Athelstan, Taylor County, Iowa].

The sympathy of a host of friends is extended to all the bereaved ones at this time of sorrow. May they look to the kind loving Father, who cares for all and wipes away all tears.

The music for the occasion was furnished by H. O. MUMMA, E. K. WILSON, G. S. DENNIS and Walter BLACK with Mrs. Mattie MILLER at the piano. The pall bearers were Mesdames (sic) Clyde MILLER, Ralph GROVES, Perry VAUGHN, Cecil FLETCHALL, Ralph DILLENBURG and Guy BLUNK.

We wish to thank the many friends and neighbors in our sad bereavement of our wife, mother, sister and daughter.

NOTE: Dicy's father Abner B. GOLLIDAY was born in 1848, and died in 1905. Her mother Martha J. (?) GOLLIDAY was born in 1859 and died in 1939. They were interred at Marshalltown Cemetery near Benton, Ringgold County, Iowa.
