OBITUARY - "LES" YOUNG

Les YOUNG, 53, of Lake Stevens, Washington passed away on October 13, 2005, due to a tragic accident. He was born to Geraldine and Henry YOUNG on March 3, 1952, in Mt. Ayr, Iowa.

Les served in the U.S. Army from 1981-1990 and also survived a battle with Leukemia in 1991.

Les was very dedicated, hard worker and touched the lives of everyone he met. Everyone will miss Les' Legendary stories, great sense of humor and his unique laugh (ya mean!). Les will be remembered by his infamous pair of sunglasses he always wore on his beautiful bald head.

Les is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pattie" YOUNG; seven children: Tassy (Matt) JOHNSON; Laura (George) PRICE; Jonathan FARIS; Stephanie FARIS; Sarah YOUNG; Cody YOUNG; and Amanda BENNETT; five grandchildren, Madison, Isaiah, Gabbie, Cara and Anthony; father, Henry YOUNG; sisters Wanda (Jim) SOUTH, Henrietta (Sergio) MENDES, and Mary (Larry) ECKERT; brother-in-law, Laverne WILDT, Michael (Cimar) LACERDA; sister-in-law, Donna (Andy Adams) GATES; and mother-in-law, Rosary LACERDA. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and special friends, Bruce BROWN, Tim ROUSE, Rick SARDELLA and Lillie. Les is preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine YOUNG; sisters, Norma DANIELS and Katie WILDT; and a brother- in-law, Phil JOHNSON.

Visitation was held Friday, October 21, and Funeral services were held Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral home in Marysville, Washington. Burial followed at Marysville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., on Friday, October 21, 2005, at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Avenue, Marysville, Washington and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Saturday, October 22, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Marysville Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers and gifts, a fund has been set up to help with funeral costs and expenses. Donations will be accepted at any Washington Mutual Bank for benefit of: "Patricia YOUNG and Family, Lester YOUNG Memorial Fund".
