OBITUARY - ROBERT E. MORRIS

Robert E. MORRIS, 80, of McLeansboro, died at 7 a.m. November 5, 2006, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.

Mr. MORRIS was born March 26, 1926, in Diagonal, Iowa, to Fredrick Carroll and Alice (GOODALE) MORRIS.

On June 4, 1950, he married Elenore M. (STUMP) MORRIS in De Soto, Iowa. She preceded him in death on July 7, 2004.

Mr. MORRIS was a farmer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in McLeansboro.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, McLeansboro. The Rev. Jim PEAK will officiate. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harre Funeral Home.

Survivors include children Robert E. “Bob” MORRIS Jr. and wife Susan of Grahamstown, South Africa, Susan KLEIN and husband Dave of Des Moines, Iowa, and Alan MORRIS and wife Yvonne of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren Kristie, Sarah and Robert Daniel MORRIS, Alicia, Matt and Chris KLEIN, and Lindsay and Josh MORRIS; brother Richard MORRIS and wife Marilyn of McLeansboro; sister Mary Anne IONNI and husband Richard of Charlotte, N.C.; step-grandchildren Miguel and wife Candi of Earlsboro, Okla., Stephanie WHARRY and husband Jared of Christopher, Felixia BANKS and husband Arthur of Yokosuka, Japan; and step-great-grandchildren Michael and Olivia MUNGUIA and Kyra WHARRY.

Mr. MORRIS was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
