MILDRED MARINE (HENDERSON) RUSH
Mildred Marine RUSH, 91, of Kellerton, IA, died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center with all of her family by her side.
Mildred was born December 1, 1916 in Ringgold County, IA to Nathan and Anis HENDERSON. She married Loren RUSH, the love of her life, on January 16, 1935. Mildred was a life long housewife and helper to her husband on the farm. She always loved having her grandchildren and great grandchildren to spend time with her. Mildred was a member of the R. L.D.S. church in Mount Ayr.
She is survived by one son Roscoe (Sheryl) RUSH, one daughter Mary (Danny) FERGUSON, all of Des Moines, IA; four grandchildren Natalie (Barry) PHELPS, Kenneth (Chris) RUSH, Danee FERGUSON, Darin (Katie) FERGUSON; eight great-grandchildren who all loved her dearly and loved playing with her cane; siblings Dessie (Bob) LEE of Casper, WY, Art HENDERSON of Hot Springs, SD, and Frieda WEGNER of Vancouver, WA.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Loren; brothers Kenneth, Roscoe, Harry Russell, and Roy HENDERSON; sisters Gladys Gritz and Beryl HEADLEY.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, and a special person to all who knew her. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tingley Mealsite.
Services were held Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
