1915 - 1998

"One less at home,
One Dear face missed day by day
From its accustomed place,
But cleansed and saved and prefected by grace,
one more in Heaven!"

Charles Kimble, son of Isaac and Lutecia RINEHART, was born August 5, 1868, near Afton [Union County], Iowa. He was one of a family of six children, all boys, and he was the first of the brothers to be called home. The brothers are: Frank, Kansas City; Clinton, Adel, Ia.; Elmer, of Florida; Ira, Hatfield [MO]; and Bert, Mount Ayr, Ia.

He went to Grant City when a small child and grew to manhood near that place. He was united in marriage in 1890 to Sarah BALL, also of near Grant City, and to their union four children were bonr: Mrs. Zula FLETCHALL, Mrs. Maude MARLER, Mrs. Ethel JOHNSTON and Leslie. The companion passed away in 1898, and Leslie a few years ago.

In 1902 he married Mrs. Oliver MILLER, and to this union were born 11 children, who, with the companion, survive, and mourn the loss of a devoted husband and father. They are: Mrs. Edith TRULLINGER, Eagleville [MO]; Mrs. Juanita GREEG, Tarkio; Mrs. Alice BOLLINGER, Diagonal, Ia.; Miss Lois, Sheridan, Mo.; Orville, Bevier, Mo.; Clifford and Kenneth, both of Hatfield [MO]; Bedden and James, both of Eagleville [MO]. A step-daughter, Mrs. Opal BAKER, Corcoran, Calif., also survives.

His entire life since coming to Worth county [MO] was lived near Grant City [MO] until one year or more ago he came to Eagleville [MO], where his death occurred March 9, at the age of 73 years, nine months and two days.

Although he was not a member of any church, he professed his faith in Christ several years ago, and each day he lived the teachings of the Golden Rule. Now that his life is over let us believe and know that He, who is His apparent prodigality, wastes not the raindrop, the blade of grass, or the evening's sighing zephyr, but makes them all to carry out His enternal plans, has given immortality to the mortal and has gathered unto Himself the generous spirit of this dear husband and father. Instead of mourning, let us look up and address him the the words of the poet:

"Thy day has come, not gone;
The sun has risen, not set;
Thy life is now beyond
The reach of death or change,
Not ended - but begun.
Oh noble soul! Oh gentle heart!
Good night. Good night."

Funeral services were held at Allendale, Mo., March 14, conducted by the Rev. Clifford JACKSON, Mount Ayr. Singing was by a quartet composed of Joseph MILLER, Ruth BENSON, Carrie WARDEN, and Manly BOOTHE, with Mrs. Joseph MILLER at the piano. Floral escort were the granddaughters, Arlene and Louise TRULLINGER, Olive Mae GREGG, Buelah Fern BAKER, Voncile FLETCHALL, Margaret RINEHART and Erla Eerne RINEHART. Burial as in the Allendale cemetery.

Besides the wife and children, he is survived by 43 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
